I always believe that there is a big truth in “never say never”, a few years ago if someone had told me that I would shop from Gucci, i would have laughed a lot!! No way Jose!! “I never ever liked anything from Gucci and I don’t think that it’s my cup of tea” would have been my answer. However things have drastically changed, since Alessandro Michele. I think he is doing a remarkable job, he literally rebuilt Gucci’s reputation from a chavvy brand to a sophisticated new level.
Having said that, I’m still skeptical about Dionysus🙊 I love the bag a lot,I even tried it a few times in different sizes. I was so close to get a medium one in beige until my fiancé made a comment saying that “Gucci is a bit chavvy”. It’s not like I always listen to his opinion on my fashion choices, (because he also thinks boy friend jeans and Kenzo sweatshirts are chavvy too😂 in David’s ideal world I should be wearing a Chanel dress with high heels all day!) but this time it did affect my decision and I didn’t get it, instead I bought another Chanel wallet on chain. I will wait another season for Dionysus, but so far my longing for that bag hasn’t changed at all 😍😍
My recent shoe shopping was very hard to find, must-buy Princetown fur-lined backless loafers! God, I wanted them so much since they first came out in February 2015. Despite their impracticality, they are very comfortable and beautiful. But I know, Its common sense that they are not practical at all. After spending a fortune on them, who would want to get on the tube with fur dragging on the floor. Of course, knowing this fact wasn’t convincing enough to stop me. 😂
I already have 2 pairs of Princetown leather backless loafer so in reality I didn’t need a furry addition to my collection, plus I’m a vegetarian and I adore animals. However when it comes to fashion, I am an all or nothing type or person. If I wear wool jumpers and leather shoes then what’s wrong with a bit of a fur? 🙈 I don’t specifically buy any fur product and if I had the chance I would love to change all fashion world and make them to use synthetic products instead of fur. But especially last few years, fur is back in fashion and very popular. Well.. may be one day, I might opt for vegan fashion and shop from Stella McCartney only! ☺️
Call me naive, but I wasn’t sure what fur Gucci loafer’s are made of, and I was actually thinking sheep or goat hair.. I tired the shoes and said “oh they are so soft like a teddy bear hugging your feet.” And SA said “they are kangaroo fur”!! In that point I didn’t know what to do or say, because they are wild animals I felt double guilty 😁 😁 nevertheless, I got the shoes 😂 a part of me still feels guilty, but the other part is extremely happy that I actually managed to find a pair in my size and get the most desirable Instagram shoes of the year!!
Normally they are not summer shoes, but British Summer is unpredictable, so I’m sure that I will have lots of opportunities to style them. Whether fur-lined version or the simple leather ones, it’s a must-have in your wardrobe this season. But whenever I asked to Harrods, there was none or only a few odd sizes left, and I had to wait.. You might need to spend all day tracking down a pair, so don’t get your hopes up.🙈☺️
